Students Engage in Airborne Research with NASA

In an exciting endeavor, students teamed up with NASA to conduct airborne field research, utilizing a scientific instrument known as an ozonesonde. This instrument is critical for measuring ozone levels in the atmosphere and is deployed via a large balloon.

The project faced challenges due to gusty winds that made it difficult to control the balloon during the launch process. Participants had to work collaboratively to manage the equipment and ensure successful deployment.
